- thanks, I had not realised that - but this highlights a related issue: if you have told the program to ignore a particular folder, when you look at the option in the 'Choose Backups' view, it remains 'ticked'.

I assume that is why it's still backing up this folder - which brings me back to my first question: BB appears to ignore the "Ignore this folder" setting, in the options - therefore it's surely a bug?

Or does this setting do something else?

Wonder if anyone can help?

BB appears to be backing up folders I have added to the Ignore list:

Tools>Options>Backups>Ignored Items - "Ignore folders with these names"

If I set an arbitrary desktop folder, and add files to it - they get backed up.

System is Windows 7 64bit, BB v2.0.2.4 Protocol 1.9.3

Any help would be much appreciated.

- if I restart the computer then BuddyBackUp starts to BackUp any new files that I save but the files that were waiting to be ready to be backed up are still waiting to be ready to be backed up 

- the only way that I can seem to find to back these files up is to go into BackUp Status and 'remove backups' for each affected file individually and then backup each file individually

I now have a number of files waiting to be ready to be backed up and at the bottom I am told 'handling offline messages from BuddyBackUp.com 

If I carry on working and save files then the number of files waiting to be backed up grows.

I have found that if I restart the computer then everything backs up as it should - it even carries on backing up as it should for a while but then the problem comes back - any ideas? - it is most annoying.
