Right, I've had a disk failure and lost someone else's backups. (Backup location pointed to this failed disk)
How do I sync both ends again? At the moment the other end seems to think I still have their backup data. I've pointed Backup Location to another disk. All my data that is backed up at the other end seems ok. Mick |

Syncing should happen automatically the next time your buddy tries to sync with your PC (happens something like once a week I think).
If you really want to make this happen sooner, there is a way to do this. 1. Exit BuddyBackup fully (click File, Exit), or right click on systray icon 2. Go to the folder: XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\BuddyBackup\ Vista/7: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\BuddyBackup\ 3. Delete the file "cleanshutdown" 4. Start up the original buddybackup (the one that crashed) 5. Start up BuddyBackup on the non-crashing machine BuddyBackup will now do a self check, part of which will be to immediately re-sync with buddies ... Or just wait a week or so! John |
