Actually yes you're correct (well spotted!).
The old version of BB doesn't correctly deal with the reparse points in the Vista file system. We're we're imminently (within the next month) going to be releasing a major update to BB which will definitely work with Vista. It also applies a lot of security and performance improvements. Unfortunately this new version won't be compatible with the current version (1.1) so I suggest you wait until then. All the best, John |

I'm running Vista 64. The last time I tried to use Buddy
Backup, like one o two months ago, I had problems backing up data inside my user Documents directory. It seems that Buddy didn't handled correctly those kind of "hard links" that Vista creates inside the Documents folder to the Pictures and Videos folders for backwards compatibility with XP. Everytime Buddy reached those links it crashed. Any ideas about that? Regards. |

Hi Giordy, You should'nt have any problems running Buddybackup under vista (32bit) at the moment. We have done some testing and it works pretty well on Vista, XP, Windows Server 2003 and a few others! Let us know if you have any problems. All the best Admin Buddy
